Here we are presenting the stars of the month (March, 2025) at Youngbuds Chess Academy!

Ishaan Paspuleti:

Parents’ feedback about Ishaan:

Ishaan joined Young Buds Chess Academy more than an year ago. He is very intelligent and picks up any analytical, thinking activities very quickly. That’s how he got interested in chess. He did a few sessions at his school and quickly moved from beginner to intermediate and earned two medals. With those achievements I felt Ishaan can excel easily in chess and started off these lessons. I noticed he was picking up the game quickly and progressing faster and faster as months go by. He is getting a hang of the game now and he even aspires to participate in the world chess championship one day! That’s a pretty sweet ambition at such a young age! Very inspiring! As his mother, I am so proud of him!

I thank his coach Lalit and Young Buds Chess Academy for the wonderful opportunity of these lessons. Everyone’s professionalism at this academy is impeccable! I particularly thank coach Lalit for his patience and zeal in helping Ishaan and teaching him the game at his own pace and in a learning approach that works best for Ishaan. Pushing him too hard, overly disciplining him and unnecessarily is always counter productive for Ishaan. He needs a warm, affectionate coach who makes the game playful, fun, little silly while keeping it engaged and focused on learning. We had Lalit for assessment the initial class and right away I knew he was the right fit for Ishaan. After a year I am glad we asked for coach Lalit and that it was the best decision for Ishaan!

Coach’s feedback about Ishaan:

In the game of Chess, you need good imagination and strategic power as well. But even if you have both these but do not have mathematical calculation abilities then you will never progress. Ishan has got fantastic calculation power, which enables him for rapid growth. He has progressed really well. He has been consistent with the classes and his efforts to learn new things.

Shreyas Arya:

Parents’ feedback about Arya:

Arya is a smart kid and he is 9 years now, he Loves to play Chess and he thinks always in a different way and he is good at Academics too. We are thankful to the Coach Nilesh for teaching Chess to my Kid.

Coach’s feedback about Arya:

Arya is a great listener and apply whatever i taught in the class while playing the game , keep up the good work ,with you dedication and hard work you will be a better player in the future.

Isha Thejas:

Parents’ feedback about Isha:

Isha is curious, thoughtful, and full of determination. She approaches every new challenge with a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn. Chess has become a beautiful reflection of her personality—calm, strategic, and focused. She has shown great discipline and resilience in her learning journey, often surprising us with her insights and ability to think ahead. Her growing love for the game is matched by her respect for her coach Manthan at Youngbuds Chess Academy, whose guidance has helped shape not just her skills, but also her confidence. We are truly grateful for the encouragement and inspiration her coach provides every step of the way.

Coach’s feedback about Isha:

It’s been an absolute pleasure coaching Isha. Her dedication and progress have been truly remarkable! She’s consistently punctual, respectful, and possesses a sharp mind that absorbs chess concepts quickly. Her soft-spoken and humble demeanor fosters great learning environment and will lead her a long way. The progress she’s made in such a short time is a testament to her hard work and natural talent. No doubt, she’ll be a great chess player in future!
Keep up the fantastic work, Isha!

Gautham Singamaneni:

Parents’ feedback about Gautham:

Gautham is a curious and creative child, with a deep passion for Maths, science and drawing. He started learning chess at the age of 5, with his uncle introducing him to the basics. As his passion for the game grew, we enrolled him in the Young Buds Chess Program under coach Welroy. Gautham eagerly looks forward to his chess class everyweek. Thanks to the coach for making class time very interactive and interesting.

Coach’s feedback about Gautham:

Gautham is such a happy kid! He always comes to class excited, whether it’s for a chess match or even a “not-so-interesting” puzzle that other kids his age might generally not enjoy. But not Gautham – he tackles them all with a smile. He’s a quick learner and plays really well, picking up new concepts in no time. Not sure what’s getting better faster, his excitement or his chess skills! Haha!
