Kiranvijay has been passionate about chess since childhood. He first learned the game from his grandfather and went on to participate in numerous school chess competitions. After moving to the United States, he continued his chess journey by competing in tournaments organized by schools and other institutions.
In addition to chess, Kiranvijay is also passionate about playing the drums and soccer. At Young Buds Chess Academy, he is further developing his skills by learning advanced techniques, strategies, and moves through structured training sessions. Yashvi started playing chess as a 6 year old. We started the lessons thinking it will be another activity that will keep her occupied after school hours like most of the parents. She practiced with her dad and on our family friends at home. I am amazed how quickly she has picked the game . She has a lot of potential and has won first and second position twice when she participated in state levels girls tournaments held in North Carolina. Thank you all your support . When Govardhan first started playing chess at age five, it was just a fun game to him, like playing with a toy. Step by step, he learned a few basic moves and simple rules. However, since joining your academy, his casual interest has transformed into a real passion for chess.

Govardhan is an absolute joy to have in the session!
His punctuality and consistent regularity set a wonderful example for the other stusents. He rarely misses any session and always joins right on time.
What truly stands out, though, is his vibrant curiosity.
Govardhan doesn’t just learn new concepts he engages with them curiously, sometimes asking out of the topic questions but I kind of like that about him (unlike some times lol).
This brilliant combination of discipline and eagerness and a little naughtiness is exactly what makes him unique.
