Souritro Majumdar :
Parents’ feedback about Souritro
Thanks to Young Buds Chess Academy for honoring Souritro as star of the month! It’s a great achievement and honor for him and for the Majumdar family. A brief introduction of Souritro; at the age of 2 years, his mother taught him to solve puzzles. At the age of 3 years, he started solving 200- pieces puzzles. During that time, his grandmother suggested teaching him chess. Souritro started his chess career at the age of 4 years! His father was his first mentor. He picked up the moves relatively faster. We first took him to the city libraries, where he beat his contemporaries and lot of parents praised his skills. As he slowly increased his level and started defeating his father occasionally in games, we decided to provide him with professional coaching. During that time, his mother searched and found the Young Buds Chess Academy from Facebook. His first mentor in YBCA was Mr. Welroy Gonsalves. We were super impressed with his way of teaching and communication with Souritro. After almost 1 year of training, Mr. Gonsalves was replaced by two more teachers. They were all knowledgeable. For the last few months, Souritro has been taught by Mr. Sourav Mohapatra. He has been an excellent mentor and Souritro is scaling higher under his mentorship. We are delighted to have Mr. Mohapatra as his coach, and we are confident that under his guidance Souritro will achieve new heights. Thanks to YBCA for nurturing his talent and helping Souritro to achieve his goals. Souritro’s other hobbies include cricket and soccer. We look forward to greater successes in Souritro’s chess career. Wishing you all a wonderful year ahead – Happy New Year 2026!

Since enrolling in the Academy, Aaryn has demonstrated exceptional cognitive development. His approach to the game is characterized by:
Analytical Sharpness: A high level of focus and a quick-witted tactical style.

A special thank you to Coach Abhinav for his exceptional mentorship. His ability to cultivate a high-performance yet nurturing environment is rare. He balances patience with a genuine passion for teaching, ensuring that students like Aaryn remain consistently engaged and eager to learn new concepts.
It is rare to find a program that delivers such a clear balance of skill acquisition and confidence building. We are proud of Aaryn’s progress and highly recommend the YBCA team to any parent looking to sharpen their child’s cognitive and strategic abilities.
Coach’s feedback about Aaryan:
Aaryan started with multiple children and well…. was doing decent enough but then his interest started to boost a little and he had started to search “why” before every move!
This was the turning point in his chess journey and after that he grasped new topics quicker than usual and his learning graph went up.
Still, there’s an endless journey ahead that I hope and pray Aaryan would walk with the same enthusiasm!
