Here we are presenting the stars of the month (April, 2025) at Youngbuds Chess Academy!

Reyansh Arun Upadhyay:

Parents’ feedback about Reyansh:

We’ve had a wonderful experience with the chess classes at Young Buds Chess Academy (YBCA). The program is well-structured and age-appropriate, making it both engaging and educational for young minds. It’s been amazing to see how chess has helped improve our kids’ focus, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Reyansh joined the chess classes at YBCA a few months ago. He has shown a love for chess from a young age, and this was his first step into formal coaching. His dedication to the game is clear—he enjoys playing with his parents, his brother, and online. He always looks forward to his sessions and returns feeling confident, motivated, and inspired.

A big thank you to Coach Lalit and the entire team at YBCA for recognizing Reyansh’s passion and nurturing his young mind. We’re excited to see how he continues to grow in the game and truly appreciate everything you’re doing to foster his love for chess.

We’re very happy with the overall experience and would highly recommend this program to other parents looking to introduce their children to the world of chess.

Coach’s feedback about Reyansh:

Reyansh has joined the class few months back. But his progress is exception just like his imagination and mathematical abilities. Even though he has just join the class, he has quickly become the best of his batch. He is very sharp and picks up new topics very quickly. He has both patience and perseverance. He is very active and his presence in the class is very charming. He has problem solving capacity which is seen in solving puzzles. He also tries to maintain a balanced game while playing.

Rasool Shaik:

Parents’ feedback about Rasool:

Rasool is 10 years old boy. He started playing chess with me when he was 7. We noticed his special interest in chess and joined Youngbuds, it’s been only two months and last week we played a game again he defeated me in 2mins. Thanks to his coach Aditi for all support and teaching him. This is significantly helping kids to improve their problem solving skills.

Coach’s feedback about Rasool:

Rasool is a brilliant and attentive chess student. He listens carefully, understands strategies quickly, and answers accurately during sessions. His focus and eagerness to learn stand out. With consistent effort and sharp thinking, Rasool shows great potential to grow into a strong and competitive chess player.

Shivanya:

Parents’ feedback about Shivanya :

Apart from academics, we were looking for Shivanya some other learning activity. When Shivanya was introduced with Chess at home she felt it interesting. She was curious to know more about it then we started her classes couple of months ago with Young Buds. She always excited about classes to learn more and more. She quickly grasped knowledge on chess and started playing well. Chess classes are always interactive and she enjoys playing chess tournaments also. She likes to play riddles with her coach Nilesh and other players. We are really glad to see Shivanya’s improvement in chess. Weekend tournaments are really helpful to improve her chess level.

I am always thankful to coach Nilesh and Young Buds Chess Academy for the wonderful opportunity.

Coach’s feedback about Shivanya :

Shivanya is very good kid who stays focused all the time in the class and answers every single question , enjoyes the class and is expected to become of the best chess player in the future.

Ritvik:

Parents’ feedback about Ritvik:

Ritvik’s latest passion is Chess nowadays. He also likes to play soccer, ping pong and dancing. He is amazed by the strategies taught in the class. He always looks forward for the chess classes and the weekend tournaments and likes his teacher Welroy Gonsalves from Youngbuds Chess Academy. We(parents) are so proud of Ritvik for picking up the concepts with ease and thankful to the teacher for amazing chess sessions.

Coach’s feedback about Ritvik:

Ritvik is such a fun kid to have in class! He’s always got a story to tell—usually about his owl friend (imaginary, I think… though I’m still not totally convinced he doesn’t actually have one). He’s picking up chess super quickly and plays with a lot of focus. His games are getting sharper each week, and so are his owl stories—both keep us on our toes! From day one till now, he’s never shown up to class with anything less than full energy. Keep it going, champ!

Arjun Reddy:

Parents’ feedback about Arjun:

We are writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for the recognition Arjun has received as the “Star of the Month” in his online chess class. It has been a joy to witness his transformation over the past few sessions. Arjun developed a genuine love for chess, and his dedication has led him to compete and win against older kids, showcasing his remarkable talent.

We are particularly proud of how he has shifted his interests from watching cartoons on YouTube to engaging with chess channels, immersing himself in strategies and techniques. This change has not only enriched his knowledge but also fostered critical thinking skills.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Coach Manthan Sir from Youngbuds Chess Academy for his unwavering patience and guidance. Your support has been instrumental in Arjun’s growth, and we are truly grateful for your dedication.

Thank you once again for this wonderful recognition.

Coach’s feedback about Arjun:

Arjun is a great learner. I am incredibly impressed with his progress that he has shown so far. Joining a group with older kids than him can be a real challenge, but he has not only kept up, he’s now right there with them!

Honestly, when he first joined and struggled a bit in the starting, I had considered whether a group with players closer to his age might be a better fit. But Arjun has shown such dedication and a real knack for the game. His improvement has been nothing short of remarkable. He has clearly been putting in the effort, and it’s paying off big time.

A big thanks to his parents as well who always supported and encouraged him to push his limits.

His strong will and dedication to the game truly makes him stand where he is today
