Here we are presenting the stars of the month (September, 2024) at Youngbuds Chess Academy!
Reyansh Upadyayula:
Parents’ feedback about Reyansh:
Reyansh is nine years old who is always excited to learn new things and very quick learner. He loves being both outdoors and indoors. He plays Soccer with great passion. At home, he likes to play board games with his little brother and when ever he gets time he loves to read books. He is a book worm and loves to read any genre.
Reyansh didn’t know anything about chess before he joined YBCA. We thought enrolling him in chess will be very beneficial with his problem solving, decision making skills etc and started with it last year. He picked up really fast and enjoys playing chess. He does practice during his leisure time. We are glad he is enjoying it and wishing him the best!
Coach’s feedback about Reyansh:
Reyansh is a smart kid who catches the concepts easily. He is a good listener. Also he likes to do the classes in a fun way. He remains active most of the time during the sessions. If he is in good form, his game improves in a very rapid way. He follows whatever he is instructed by me during the classes. I wish he maintains the same consistency and keep progressing.
Darsh and Devarsh:
Parents’ feedback about Darsh and Devarsh:
My sons Darsh and Devarsh are 9 years old and started their chess classes 3 months back. I could see they have developed lots of interest towards the game. They are more enthusiastic about the game and enjoy attending the tournaments on weekend. It’s all thanks to the way Keerthi ma’am handles the class and her students. Her coaching is very good and makes it easy and enjoyable to the kids. I also thank Youngbuds Chess Academy for providing the grand Master class where children learn different moves for the game
Coach’s feedback about Darsh and Devarsh:
Darsh and Devarsh are extremely enthusiastic and enjoy playing chess along with practice during training. They have unlocked mating strategies in the game with white at the beginner level and identify the tactics taught in class during game. They also attend tournaments with dedication and put efforts to implement feedback during class. With the fun spirit and the zest to win they are champions in making.
Arjun Iyer:
Parents’ feedback about Arjun:
Arjun first got introduced to chess when his cousin visited him during summer break in 2023. He’s been learning chess with YBCA for over a year since then . He has grown from someone who always wanted to promote pawns and hoard queens to now someone who takes time to strategize and listens to coaches feedback. We appreciate the patience, enthusiasm and teaching methods of the coaches. I look forward to seeing him continue to excel and learn in a fun way.
Coach’s feedback about Arjun:
Arjun is a quick learner and his memory is also really sharp. Once I teach him anything then he doesn’t forget it easily. That’s one of the most important quality of a chess player. He is also a very fun loving guy and he enjoys along with learning in the sessions. He makes other kids laugh as well. I hope he keep enjoy and learn in the sessions and keep showing improvement in the game.
Pujith Phanidharapu:
Parents’ feedback about Pujith:
Pujith is playing chess with young buds chess academy from past 3 months. He learned chess from other chess academies too but he lost interest after few months. Coach Nilesh is very good in creating interest and he is knowledgeable at chess. We are happy that Pujith is improving his skills.
Coach’s feedback about Pujith:
Pujith is a very talented as well as hardworking player. He is really focused while doing the classes. I like his approach that he tries to understand each concept deeply. After understanding the concepts he tries to apply it also in the game in the best possible way. If he keeps this approach in future as well then he can improve a lot in chess!
Jaanvi Jithu:
Parents’ feedback about Jaanvi:
Our daughter Jaanvi is an 8 year old girl who started learning chess a few months ago. She is currently learning the fundamentals of chess and her teacher, Keerthi Sree, helps her to understand more and more about chess . Jaanvi loves to play chess a lot and experiment with different ideas. She never gets discouraged by the losses. We hope with time and practice, her game awareness and ability to think ahead, and understanding of deeper strategies will improve.
Coach’s feedback about Jaanvi:
Jaanvi is very calm and observant during classes. Initially she used to have a hard time solving puzzles but with consistent efforts she now is able to answer with ease. She is keen to understand new concepts and actively works on puzzles even when it’s not her turn. She is on the path to become a good chess player.
