Star of the month – August 2024

Here we are presenting the stars of the month (August, 2024) at Youngbuds Chess Academy!

Deekshith Prasanna:

Parents’ feedback about Deekshith:

My son Deekshith is 7 years old and started his chess classes 3 months back. I could see a lot of changes in his attitude towards learning the game. He is more enthusiastic towards the game and the challenges it offers. It’s all thanks to the way Keerthi ma’am handles the class and her students. Her coaching is very good and makes it easy and enjoyable to the kids. I also thank Youngbuds Chess Academy for providing the very good support in all areas.

Coach’s feedback about Deekshith:

Deekshit is an extremely inquisitive kid. He is passionate and actively participates in the class. He also keeps track of the topics discussed in class and reviews them at home. He also plays tournaments. With regular practice and working on his move impulsiveness – he is a good chess player in making in no time!

Vaishalini Karthick Raj:

Parents’ feedback about Vaishalini:

Vaishalini was just 5 when she started the class few months back. Before joining the class she used to be a shy kid who loves playing chess and had a very basic understanding of it . The weekly sessions and the week end tournament practices had helped her in improving both her chess knowledge and her interest more . After few sessions she started anticipating for the sessions and got very excited when she got appreciation or when she had won a tournament . She always says she started liking her class more because of her coach lalith as he is always patient with her and teach her in the way she understands . The monthly retrospective session was super helpful in knowing where she stands and improve her skill . Also as a parent we are able to see lot a changes in the way she plays with us at home . We can surely see that her chess understanding had changed radically.

Coach’s feedback about Vaishalini:

Being the youngest in her batch took some time as compared to others to get in to the rhythm. But never gave up. The most unique feature of her personality is that she gets disappointed with losses. And with this spirit now she is one the best performers of the batch. May it be puzzle racer or games she is good and one cant underestimate her. Even in lessons, many times she is very quick.
