Here we are presenting the stars of the month (April, 2024) at Youngbuds Chess Academy!
Eshan Mantry:
Parents’ feedback about Eshan:
Eshan is a delightful young boy in Senior 1 at High School of Glasgow, UK. Eshan is a very keen chess player and we would give major credit to his coach, who has been coaching him for last 3 years which has made Eshan hooked on to chess with passion . Beyond the technical aspects, the coach has immense patience and encourages him to think critically, analyze his decisions, and learn from his mistakes.Eshan finds the classes very engaging and lively and is so committed to it that he would rarely miss a class unless no reception or wifi. Eshan would join the class from holidays, parties and even when he was once in hospital. Eshan thoroughly enjoys the interaction and continues to make good progress. Playing chess has helped his focus and concentration which helps him not only academically but also in other extracurricular activities such as piano and drums. We are thankful to YBCA for providing a great forum where Eshan is getting opportunity to learn skills such as discipline ,patience , value of strategic thinking and becoming a resilient competitor which will certainly help shape his future personality.Â
Eshan has secured 6th place in online International chess tournament in his age group from Scotland.
Coach’s feedback about Eshan:
If I would start talking about Eshan, then it may take multiple pages ! Now he is not only my student but he plays the leadership role as well in the classes. He is one of the most passionate student in the academy, who has attended the classes even while on vacations like I remember sometimes he has done the sessions from beach also, lol…and he missed his birthday parties as well sometimes for the classes. I’m so glad to have a student like him, who is so much dedicated towards his passion. And of course he has shown a great improvement in the game since the time he joined. Wishing him all the very best for the future !!
Hriyaan Shetty:
Parents’ feedback about Hriyaan:
Hriyaan is a fun loving and playful 9 year old. He loves playing Soccer, video games, eating pizzas, mathematics and running around with his little brother. We casually introduced him to chess few months back and Hriyaan has taken us by surprise with his smart moves and intelligence. Hriyaan has always been a fast learner, he memorized all the country flags when he was just 4 years old. YBCA and his coach’s classes are fun and nurturing and Hriyaan looks forward to them every week and is only getting better by the day. Besides developing his skill in the game, he’s also learning to be a good individual and accept losses gracefully. We are very proud of him as parents and look forward to him in excelling in every step of his life. We are thankful to his coach for teaching and guiding him with different aspects of chess over the last few months and hope to see him winning chess competitions.
Coach’s feedback about Hriyaan:
Hriyaan is a very much talented guy and a quick learner. He is very much passionate about chess what I can see. He has shown a great improvement since the time of joining. He remains very much conscious as well during the classes. What the best part is, that he always play for learning and doesn’t get much affected by win/lose and that’s why he is so consistent and improving continuously. Wishing him all the best for the future as well !

He was curious to learn Chess and YBCA got introduced to him and since then he is enjoying and we we’re never thought of he will grasp the knowledge so Fast and Big Thanks to his Coach and the team make him learn and engaged .
Coach’s feedback about Aadit:
Aadit’s grasping power is quite impressive. Whatever I teach in the session, he is able to understand it in one time itself. In addition to this, he is consistent as well, which leads to his continuous development in the game of chess. He is very much focused during the sessions. I’m sure that he can sharpen his chess skills a lot if he can be consistent for a long period of time. Hoping for his game to keep developing in better and better way.

He started playing chess with his dad few months ago and quickly picked it up. Recognizing his keen interest and potential, we decided to enrolled him in chess classes with YBCA for professional coaching. Ansh has shown significant improvement under the guidance of his coach.
We look forward to see him continue to grow his skills and potentially participate in competitive tournaments in the future.
Coach’s feedback about Ansh:
Ansh is very much interested in the game and he is quite good in grasping the concepts and he even tries to apply more and more of it into the game. He is talented as well as a hardworking guy. And we all know how much somebody can progress if the talent gets hardwork. So I’m happy by the progress he has shown till now. Want to grow much more in future as well. If he maintains the same consistency towards the game, he would be able to grow a lot !
Bhuvanya Kamarti
Parents’ feedback about Bhuvanya :
Bhuvanya is a 6 year old girl and we call her Ammu too. She loves Art/Drawing and swimming much and engages, enjoys herself in play by her own. When we started introducing her to chess, we were doubtful of her interest but as days moved on she started learning and growing interest in chess. Surprisingly she is picking it up well which we didn’t expect. It’s an early stage of her chess learning but she will pick up with practice and YBCA helping out with fun-filled classes to learn and improve step-by-step. We look forward to continuing with YBCA for Bhuvanya’s chess learning and improvements.
Coach’s feedback about Bhuvanya:
Bhuvanya is a smart and sharp minded child. She grasps the concepts fast. She remains energetic during the whole class and participates actively. She remains much excited for the game and analysis thing. As per her age, she is showing a nice progress in her game since the time she joined. I would really like to see this consistency ahead and there should be much more improvement over the period of time. Best of luck for her future as well !!
