Star of the month – June 2023

Here we are presenting the stars of the month (June, 2023) at Youngbuds Chess Academy!

1. Veona Challapalli:

Veona is our cute little nugget who has her own way of lightning up the environment around her. She consistently showcases an incredible enthusiasm in taking on challenges that exceed her age. This creates a joyful sense of surprise among those who witness her endeavors, and she wholeheartedly relishes their reactions. Her broad range of interests include music, dance, art, skating, hiking, biking, ball games, taekwondo, and not to forget chess. Veona eagerly looks forward to joining classes where she can have fun with her friends, while his coach ensures they learn new techniques, creating a perfect balance of enjoyment and growth. Hope she continues to be our little Miss Sunshine forever!!

Coach’s feedback about Veona:

Veona is a very sweet , joyful and fun loving kiddo. She is very passionate about chess and catches the concepts in a nice way and tries to apply them into the game also as much as possible. She likes to play more and more games during the classes. She likes to play in an attacking way, and try to follow more and more principles in the game as possible. I hope she will maintain the consistency in her practice and passion and will keep doing great.

2. Shanaya Dubey:

Shanaya is active, intelligent and enthusiastic girl who loves travelling, reading books, playing chess, riding bike, and solving Rubik’s. Shanaya’s liking for chess began when she joined the online class with the coach and always look forward to attend it. We really thank coach the way he guides her with patience, motivation and engaging her effortlessly and encourages to excel her game.

Coach’s feedback about Shanaya:

Shanaya is a very joyful kiddo and very passionate while playing chess and doing the classes with great energy. She is showing consistent improvement in the game. She is very obedient and remains very active during the sessions. She doesn’t bother much about winning and losing but enjoys the game as much as possible. Hope she continues the same passion and love for the game and keep improving.

3. Gayathri :

Gayatri is very energetic and active 10 years old girl. She is a very caring, helping and loving girl. She is very fast learner. She got awarded best student of the year for her academic and for best behavior. Gayatri started learning chess when she was 4 years old and she got first in inter- school chess competitions when she was in 1st grade. Unfortunately she got big gap learning chess because of covid. She enjoy playing chess. We are fortunate to get introduced with YBCA. Gaytri resumed her chess classes. I would like to thank both YBCA and the coach for their dedication and time to teach chess and make it as fun activity to the kids.

Coach’s feedback about Gayathri:

Gayathri is very consistent in her practice and hence she is showing consistent improvement in the game. She is passionate towards chess and likes to know more and more new things, which ensures her consistent growth. I can see in her the love and passion towards the practice required to be a good player. Hope she continues the same passion and love for the game and do much more in the game.

4. Yojith Jonnala:

Yoji is an 8-year-old boy. He is very passionate about soccer and Badminton. He loves swimming and his hobbies are drawing and reading books. He is a very caring, helping and friendly person. Off late, he has shown interest in chess as he learned basics from his friends and we joined him at YBCA a couple of months back. A big thanks to the coach, who created more fun and interest in the game for Yoji.

Coach’s feedback about Yojith:

Yojith is a sharp minded guy and has shown nice improvement in the game. He is having excellent catching power in understanding the concepts. He practice as much as possible and try not to miss the class. I see that at the time of playing he guides his opponent as well, haha. I believe he will continue the same consistency and do better and better in the game.

5. Riaan Ganduri :

Riaan is 7 years old now, and he enjoys playing soccer, chess, karate, and loves minecraft and pokemon.

He has developed love for chess from the first practice class itself and has a lot of interest in learning new techniques and improving his skills.

Riaan is a very friendly and caring kid. He is a diligently dependable kid and a wonderful wise owl.

We are very thankful to his coach for teaching him chess and not letting him distracted or loose interest.

Coach’s feedback about Riaan:

Riaan is a quiet, intelligent and a little shy guy. As per his age he is having great sense of learning and has shown nice improvement in the game. He is having excellent catching power in understanding the concepts. He practice as much as possible and try not to miss the class. He is very much focused while playing the game and I believe he will continue the same consistency and improve a lot in chess.

6. Toshan Das :

Toshan is 9 years old boy from East Lansing, Michigan. His interests include reading comic books, playing soccer, video games and navigating virtual world. He is a fun loving, kind, helpful kid. He aspire to be a soccer player. Thanks to coach for growing his interest in chess which eventually helping him to improve concentration and problem solving abilities.

Coach’s feedback about Toshan:

Toshan is a fun loving guy and he never gets negative if she lose the games sometimes. That’s his very positive quality. He catches the concepts in a quick way. He is really interested in the game, and likes to know more and more about it. It shows his love and passion towards the game. I believe if he maintains the same consistency and dedication towards the sport, he can improve his game much more.
