Star of the month – August 2021

Here we are presenting the stars of the month (August 2021) at Youngbuds Chess Academy!

1. Mokshith:

Mokshith likes Chess more than his favorite games, Cubing and PlayStation. He enjoys Playing & chatting with his friends and Loves watching Movies and TV.He also is very interested In the Harry Potter films and books.

Mokshith is a bright student in academics, Whilst he keeps trying to win chess with friends and family members. He is always willing to learn more about chess and about how fascinating and deep the game is.

Thank you to Abhishek Sir for teaching techniques and guiding him towards the path of chess and motivating him to keep getting better.

Coach feedback on Mokshith:

Mokshith is a sharp minded guy and has shown nice improvement in the game. He is having excellent catching power in understanding the concepts. He practice as much as possible and try not to miss any class or practice session. I see that at the time of playing he is fully focused and doesn’t get distracted. I believe he will continue the same consistency and do better and better in the game.

2. Yuvan

Yuvan is a 9 year old playful boy with loads of energy. He loves cubing, football, badminton and several outdoor games. When he wanted to learn Chess, we got to know about YBCA and after the trial class, he fell in love with the game. Mr. Abhishek provides excellent training by introducing new techniques and strategies during the classes and Yuvan won several weekly tournaments using them. Thanks to Mr. Abhishek for his patience and guidance during the classes. Looking forward to seeing Yuvan mastering the game.

Coach feedback on Yuvan:

Yuvan is a very hardworking and dedicated player. He catches the concepts easily and applies them into the game also in a very good way. He is very much passionate towards the game. He likes to play in the professional way, and try to follow as many principles of the game as possible. I hope he will maintain the consistency in his practice and passion and will be a great chess player.

3. Sidhu Adurthi

Sidhu is a 10 year old active and energetic boy, excited to learn new things. He loves cycling, playing cricket, chess, and solving Rubik’s cubes. Sidhu plays for the U11 Cricket team and recently scored his maiden 50 in 34 balls. Sidhu is also learning Taekwondo and is 1 belt away from a black belt. Last year, Sidhu successfully completed 100kms of cycling towards a covid fund relief.

Sidhu’s fondness for chess began when he joined online chess classes with Mr. Abhishek sir and he now eagerly looks forward to his chess class and tournaments. He likes the way Abhishek Sir patiently answers all the questions and his unique and creative ways of engaging, teaching, and encouraging the kids.

In his words, he says, “Mr. Abhishek sir is a very nice and fun coach. He is really good at teaching chess and always tells us our mistakes so we can learn. I look forward to every Friday and Saturday because I have a chess class. I like playing the tournaments as I enjoy playing against other opponents and learning in the process”

Coach feedback on Sidhu:

 Sidhu is a talented player and is showing consistent improvement in the game. He is very passionate towards the sport. One thing I can see about him, if he is passionate about something, he tries to give his best there, his this quality is helping him in shaping up his game skills. Hope he continues the same passion and love for the game and do great in the chess world.

4. Dhanvin

Dhanvin is a typical second grader, currently getting used to the school routine (after an year and half remote school). He is a social enthusiast, who loves to spend time with family and friends. His areas of interest include Art and Chess. He has been practicing Art since he was 3 and I should say, he is good for his age. He has started his journey in Chess few months ago and I already see him progressing at a good pace, thanks to his coach and mentor Mr. Abhishek. Hope to see Dhanvin excel in Chess and other activities he picks up!

Coach feedback on Dhanvin:

Dhanvin is very consistent in his game performance. He catches the concepts very fast. He is really interested in the game, and likes to know more and more about it by doing more and more research. It clearly shows his love and passion towards the game. I believe if he maintains the same consistency and dedication towards the sport, he can be a great Chess player.

5. Vihaan

Vihaan is 9 years old, and loves playing chess . He is always enthusiastic and keen on learning new and new things in chess.He likes reading books , riding his bicycle, playing soccer and playing keyboard in his free time.

After joining classes with Abhishek Sir, his game skills have improved . He looks forward to the sessions with Sir and tries to attend all practice sessions.

Abhishek Sir deals with kids in a very friendly manner and with a lot of patience. I appreciate the efforts he put in making things interesting for kids and keeping up the passion for chess high.

Coach feedback on Vihaan:

Vihaan is very consistent in his practice and hence he is showing consistent improvement in the game. He is very talented and hardworking guy, which ensures his consistent growth. I can see in him the love and passion towards the practice required to be a great chess player. Hope he continues the same passion and love for the game and do wonders in chess.
