Samara Roshan:

Samara is a 9-year-old Californian from the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area and captivates everyone with her intellect, kindness, and determination. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a love for books, she has already penned two noteworthy works, one of which is on the verge of being published. Whether it’s writing, tennis, or chess, Samara’s passion knows no bounds, leaving an imprint of her fierce competitiveness both on the court and across the chessboard against her siblings.
Amidst her numerous endeavors, Samara finds absolute joy in her chess class at YBCA. Weekend sessions with the YBCA team have become her cherished highlight, as she embraces the strategic thinking, anticipation, and planning skills fostered by this captivating game. Many thanks to YBCA for offering these invaluable classes, enabling Samara to thrive and excel in the realm of chess. The lessons she learns extend far beyond the board, encapsulating vital life lessons that will surely shape her future success.

Samara is so joyful and a very energetic kiddo. She always has smile on her face while attending the classes which shows her enthusiasm during the sessions. From starting till the end of the session, she is very much focused and solve all the puzzles and play the games with great passion. Hope she would maintain the same consistency and keep growing.
Ronav Lakhia:

Parents’ feedback about Ronav:
Ronav is a 5th Grade GATE student at Crescent Elementary School. He is a kind, fun and loving boy. Ronav enjoys both the outdoors and indoors.
When he is outdoors he takes on sports based activities and has always been a top performer be it Tennis, Basketball, Baseball, Swimming or Golf. He has successfully completed his 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo at the age of 8 years old.
When he is indoors he enjoys playing board games, chess, checkers and video games. He believes in working hard and giving everything his best shot. We are excited for what the future holds for Ronav. Thank you to our coach at YBCA for teaching Ronav the concepts of Chess. He is really really loving it!!!

Ronav is performing in a very consistent way in chess. He does the sessions with great passion and excitement. Even if he miss the class sometimes but when he comes in the next class he doesn’t get lack of confidence but learn with the same enthusiasm. He likes to play chess games more and more than solving puzzles. And I’m happy that this way his game is improving. All the best for his future !!
Aarna Bhat:

Meet Aarna, the incredibly sweet 6-year-old !
She’s a kind-hearted and fun loving girl who thrives on family time and playing with friends in the neighbourhood park. A true artist, she expresses herself through her amazing creations. And when it comes to ballet, she’s gracefully becoming a swan in the making! Aarna’s love for reading is as deep as her passion for art.
Chess is her jam and she’s a fierce protector of her queen. Her chess classes with her buddies from school at YBCA are a highlight of her week. Thanks to her lively and fun-loving coach who makes the classes very playful and interesting for young kids.
She also loves watching chess videos of her favorite players (Pragg and Magnus ‘s games ) with her dad.
Aarna’s chess journey has just begun and we wish her an abundance of success, learning and lots of fun along the way!

Aarna is a sweet, disciplined and very obedient kid. She does the chess classes with a lot of joy and passion. She catches the concepts in a very cleared way. She also enjoys the company of her batchmates who are her very good friends and together they all make the class environment very positive and learnable. I believe she will keep her passion alive for chess and keep improving.
Tanvi Kataria:

Tanvi is a very kind , smart and caring 9 year old girl .she loves to read books . She always excited to learn new things. Tanvi’s hobbies are swimming , playing guitar drawing, painting and playing with her brother. She is very obedient kid.Tanvi starts her chess journey with YBCA. Now she enjoy to play chess

Tanvi is an intelligent and a very obedient girl. She follows all the instructions given by me. She tries to understand the concepts in a very cleared way which shows her love and dedication towards the game. She tries to attend the sessions consistently and in a very active manner. Ahilan Sowmyamoorthy:

Ahilan is obedient and intelligent kid. He loves Maths and Astronomy specially Rockets/Satellites and Studying Stars/Planets . Ahilan started his interest in Chess after playing with his friends and in Online. We really thank YBCA for teaching Chess for Ahilan with patience and dedication. Hope Ahilan learns lots of techniques in chess and applies them in real world scenarios. Wishing you all the best for YBCA and enriching more YoungBuds.

Ahilan is a quick learner as whatever he gets taught once he remembers for a long time. He follows whatever I instruct him which shows his obedience towards his teacher. He listens to all the things and plays the games in an attentive manner, though sometimes he shows his classes to his friends as well. He should maintain this enthusiasm and dedication towards the game and should keep progressing.
Kirthin Sai:

Kirthin is smart, intelligent and caring. He is very much interested in science and meteorology. He is excited to learn things in weather forecasts. Also he likes swimming, soccer. His hobbies are sketching, reading books and playing video games with his friends.
He started learn chess to beat his father. Now he improved a lot in playing chess.We are thankful to coach for helping him to grow the interest in chess.
Coach’s feedback about Kirthin:
Kirthin is a smart and a sharp learner. He is pretty fast in understanding the things get taught in the sessions. He likes to solve more and more puzzles in the puzzle racer and plays the games in a very active manner. Everytime he attends the classes with a great energy. I never saw a lack of interest in him during the sessions. I hope he will maintain this consistency towards the game of chess and keep moving ahead.
Megha Challagundla:

Megha is a 10 year old girl who has passion to learn new things. She is a caring, kind girl and very good listener .She is an active girl who loves to play with friends. She also loves to travel around. Megha loves lots of sports including tennis,soccer,skiing and skating.And also she enjoys chess classes and tournaments.

Megha is disciplined and a good learner. She tries to understand the concepts deeply and tries to apply them into the games as well. She tries to answer every question and the puzzles which we do during the sessions. Even she miss the class sometimes, she joins the next session with same enthusiasm and excitement and tries to learn more and more. I believe she would keep this love and passion for chess and keep growing.
Jaiden Paulraja:

Jaiden is a fun loving, laid back kid. he loves playing soccer and he especially likes chess. Jaiden is 12 years old, he is in seventh grade in Walker Middle Magnet School. His favorite subject is French, “comment ça va” means how are you doing in French, he learned this in the beginning of French class which he originally despised, but then came to love Jaiden particularly enjoys his computer class where he is building web pages. In his free time Jaiden plays outside with his friends or plays chess or another board game. Jaiden plays chess daily to hone his skills to the sharpest even if they aren’t there yet. A very big thing about Jaiden is that he loves to read! He is a huge bookworm and he especially likes fantasy, science fiction, and mystery/horror. Jaiden also has two brothers, one is named Jaisen and the other one is named Amu. He likes to mess around with them and put them in their place. He is also Catholic and he is proud to say he prayed the rosary for nine days straight. Jaiden is in his quiet place when he is left alone, if he is asked to work then his demeanor entirely changes he becomes an agreeable kid to a grumbling and mumbling slouch.

Jaiden is an intelligent, smart and a joyful guy. He does the classes with in a very attentive manner and tries to keep himself involved during the whole session. He tries to explore more and more about chess. He loves to interact with other kids in the batch as well. He attends more and more practice sessions and tournaments as well. This all shows his great likeness towards the sport. I believe he would keep this passion and dedication for chess and keep growing.
Saketh Sneha Sathya:

Saketh is seven years old who is discovering his interests when he is not busy playing with his younger brother Shravan and sister Sharada. He was introduced to Chess by his uncle when he was five, who is his sparring partner. He also likes to run, enjoys watching cricket, playing piano, swimming, taekwondo and soccer. He is a big fan of the Chennai Super Kings and Dhoni.
Coach’s feedback about Saketh:
Saketh is a fun-loving and a joyful guy. He does the classes with great joy and enthusiasm. He enjoys the company of his batchmates and tries to communicate with them during the classes. He even plays the role of a teacher sometimes by explaining the other kids in the batch if somebody doesn’t understand anything. Even his siblings enjoys his chess classes. Hope he maintains this spark alive for the game.
